Michael Page are currently working with a successful Financial Services firm based in Victoria, London, who are in search of a Senior Qualified Accountant to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. This role covers all aspects of finance, making it ideal for a candidate with broad experience across financial and accounting functions.

Our client is focused on principal investing, advisory, and wealth solutions and holds a key presence across the market. They will be offering an immediate start to the successful candidate along with flexible hybrid working.
Description
As Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
1. Handling a wide range of responsibilities, as this is the sole finance role within the company.
2. Collaborating with teams in both the UK and overseas to support business operations across these locations.
3. Responsible for group accounting and reporting, covering approximately 6-7 key entities.
4. Managing accounts payable and receivable across all group bank accounts and entities.
5. Overseeing banking operations primarily through HSBC Net, including setting up and maintaining an approval process for payments.
6. Recording financial transactions in Xero; prior experience with Xero is beneficial but not essential if proficient in similar accounting software.
7. Conducting monthly reconciliations and preparing financial reports for each group entity.
8. Working closely with UK VAT and Corporate Tax advisors, providing necessary financial data via Xero for quarterly VAT returns and annual corporate tax filings.
9. Preparing HK SFC FRR reports; while this is a requirement, it is a straightforward process that does not require specialist knowledge.
10. Compiling annual financial statements for all group entities and liaising with PwC for year-end audits.
11. Supporting the UK business by reconciling marketing spend for client accounts.
Profile
1. Holding one of the completed qualifications - ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
2. Being immediately available to start this role or on a reduced notice period.
3. Ideally holding up to 5 years of industry experience.
4. Coming from a Financial Services industry background.
5. The ability to step into a role which requires a variety of responsibilities, so the ability to multitask and excel under pressure is desirable.
