Location: Ilford (covering 4 EBD homes)
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + Profit Shares

We’re looking for a hands-on Operations Manager / Responsible Individual to oversee four Ofsted-registered children’s homes in Ilford, supporting young people with EBD needs.

Your Role
As the Operations Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating environments where young people can truly thrive. Here’s what you’ll be driving:
1. Keeping Young People Safe
* Be the safeguarding champion, embedding a culture of safety and trust across all homes.
* Ensure all policies and practices align with safeguarding legislation and best practices.
2. Meeting High Standards
* Lead compliance as the Responsible Individual, ensuring homes are always Ofsted-ready.
* Respond to inspection reports with confidence, implementing effective action plans.
* Handle complaints with professionalism, aiming for positive outcomes.
3. Fostering Exceptional Care
* Deliver a personalised, young person centered approach to care.
* Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and regulators to stay ahead of best practices.
4. Leading Your Team
* Inspire and support managers and staff to achieve their full potential.
* Cultivate a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous development.
* Manage budgets to ensure financial stability while prioritising top-quality care.
5. Driving Growth and Innovation
* Partner with senior leadership to develop new services and enhance existing ones.
* Build strong relationships with commissioners and local authorities to secure future opportunities.
* Push for continuous improvement and creative solutions to elevate the support we provide.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following:
Experience & Qualifications
* Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a residential children’s home.
* A track record of “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted inspections.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices.

* Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and delivering results.
* Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
