The Opportunity: Graduate Unqualified Teacher
We’re collaborating with outstanding secondary schools in Leeds to find dynamic graduates (in core subjects such as Maths, English, Science, Humanities, Modern Foreign Languages, or Computing) who are eager to join the teaching profession as Unqualified Teachers. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in a vibrant educational environment, where you’ll gain hands-on teaching experience while being mentored by experienced educators. Our schools are looking for graduates to start either immediately or from September 2025. If you've recently completed your degree or are graduating this year, you're eligible for this opportunity, along with graduates from recent years!
What You’ll Do: Graduate Unqualified Teacher
1. Teach lessons in your specialist subject, with guidance and support from experienced teachers.
2. Plan, mark, and assess students' work, contributing to their academic success.
3. Create an engaging, inspiring learning environment that motivates students.
4. Collaborate with department heads and mentors to deepen your understanding of teaching.
5. Develop key skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and effective teaching strategies.
Who We’re Looking For: Graduate Unqualified Teacher
1. A 2:1 degree or higher in a core subject from a reputable university.
2. A genuine passion for teaching and a strong desire to pursue a career in education.
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and lead a classroom effectively.
4. A commitment to helping students thrive and achieve their potential.
5. Prior experience with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, or coaching) is a plus but not essential.
