Interim Finance Assistant - St. Austell - £25-27,000
Trial Balance Consulting have been re-engaged by a long established and highly successful specialist FMCG business based in St. Austell (with onsite parking). Due to up-coming maternity leave, the company now seeks to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their experienced accounting function. This is a full-time contract with an anticipated duration of 12 months, commencing ASAP.
This is a broad role with a particular focus on leading the accounts payable and receivable function. Key responsibilities include:
1. Day-to-day management of the accounts receivable function
2. Setting up new suppliers
3. Assisting the Finance Manager with a range of accounting projects and tasks
4. Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
5. Aged debtor maintenance
6. Reconciliation of purchase ledger invoices
7. Preparing supplier payment runs
8. Payroll processing
9. General ledger analysis
10. Other ad-hoc finance tasks and assisting with accounting projects
For this role, we’re seeking a candidate who possesses at least 12 months of experience gained within a similar environment, either part/fully AAT or qualified by experience. Previous experience using SAGE based systems would be advantageous but not essential for candidates with a strong aptitude to learn a new platform.
