Management Consultant: Retail Stores Operations Improvement expert
My highly successful international boutique consultancy client is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager/Director level management consultant with deep expertise from the retail sector to join their growing Retail performance improvement team.
Their Retail team works to create lasting value for organisations across a variety of urgent, high impact situations.
You will need an excellent level of education together with significant experience of working for a recognised, leading or specialist management consultancy with retail expertise to include ‘in store’ operations including topics such as:- 4-wall store profitability improvement, labour model optimisation, and store networks.
This is a hands-on delivery role requiring experience in retail store operations. To be right for this role this expertise needs to include:
* Management consultancy - performance improvement in retail (from a recognised management consultancy)
* Analysing data to understand current performance of a store portfolio including revenue, cost, and profitability (inc. store segmentation)
* Assessing the store labour model including workload drivers, store profiles, and staffing requirements
* Conducting root cause analyses to understand in drivers of challenges causing inefficiencies in stores – both in-store and upstream
* Recommending opportunities to improve store operations through revenue, cost, and/or process levers with a focus on driving profitability
* Developing processes, models, and/or plans to implement store efficiencies
* Understanding of retail value chain and interconnected nature between upstream functions and stores
* Familiarity with current technologies driving efficiencies within stores (i.e., AI enabled technologies, robotic process automation, labour scheduling tools etc.)

For this Manager role they are offering a base salary of up to £120 000 + extensive benefits + very competitive bonus. You will need 7 – 12 years’ relevant experience.
For the Senior Manager/Director role they are offering a base salary up to £150,000 + extensive benefits + very competitive bonus. You will need 12+ years’ relevant experience.
