Within this role, you will carry out all general day to day maintenance activities across the site as part of a varied work programme. You will plan and implement work schedules, carrying out work yourself where you can or contacting contractors for any unexpected issues. You will help monitor current contractors, escorting and introducing them to the site, ensuring that they are carrying out work to agreed schedules and facilitate any ad-hoc call outs. You will deliver a high level of service, comfort and safety for users of our facility. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities are fully functioning, and you will supply maintenance reports and updates to the Head of Manufacturing on a regular basis. You will: Perform reactive repairs and maintenance for grounds, buildings, and equipment while monitoring stock levels of consumables. Ensure high standards of health and safety by conducting regular building checks, identifying maintenance needs, and resolving issues promptly. Conduct minor maintenance tasks as needed including, air handling plant, basic plumbing, as well as minor refurbishments and installations of equipment. Conduct Portable Appliance testing after receiving training. Operate and understand the Building Management System, perform security and fire alarm system checks, including weekly testing, maintain compliance logs, and report any issues to the Head of Production promptly. Ensure all service reports, certification, asset management and other facilities information is filed centrally and inspection ready. Be prepared to participate in audits and inspections as and when required. Your skills & experience Prior experience in building maintenance Familiarity with Health, Safety and environmental Regulations Proficiency with basic plumbing and possibly electrical maintenance Operate and understand the Building Management System Contractor management, including inductions and safety plans About you You will have experience of working in a maintenance role Have a “can do attitude” You are a self-starter and are organised and able to manage your time effectively You can handle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities You are a collaborative team player Demonstrate professionalism, quality awareness, and an active engagement for high safety standards Not the right fit?
