We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Pre-works Coordinator tojoin our dynamic Walsall Streetlighting account, working from our Walsall Depot at 200 Pelsall Road, Pelsall, Walsall, WS8 7EN. This role will be carried out onsite.
This position offers a competitive salary and is 40 hours per week.
In this role, you'll support the team by ensuring all streetlighting projects are meticulously planned and executed. As a Pre-works Coordinator, your role is crucial in orchestrating the intricate details of each project, which directly impacts the efficiency and safety of our operations. By preparing comprehensive job packs and coordinating with various teams, you will ensure that each project adheres to the highest standards and meets all regulatory requirements.
Your ability to manage permits and traffic arrangements will help facilitate smooth operations, reducing disruptions and enhancing the overall experience for the residents of Walsall. Additionally, your efforts in maintaining health and safety records, ordering necessary materials, and supporting the team in operational tasks play a vital role in the seamless delivery of our services.
Your work will not only contribute to the success of the Walsall Streetlighting account but also positively impact the community by ensuring well-lit, safe, and efficient roadways.
What You'll Do:
Plan, program, and manage all work on the contract, ensuring alignment with contractual performance standards.
Prepare job packs for all work types by liaising with admin teams to obtain underground service plans from all service owners.
Open and close permits through the Street Manager or equivalent systems in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 Permit Scheme.
Identify works requiring specialist traffic management, raise orders with traffic management companies, and program delivery.
Liaise with the admin team for mains connections work from internal or subcontract ICPs or DNO for illuminated street lighting equipment.
Maintain and deliver Annual Service Plans according to PFI performance standards and update progress on spreadsheets and other management systems.
Ensure materials required for works are identified, ordered, and in stock, and manage the risk of service strikes by surveying sites before works commence.
Maintain health and safety records, support operational tasks as needed, and stand in for the Supervisor during their absence to ensure operational delivery. Why Join Us?
