Barton Moss Secure Care Centre
We are a 27 bed Secure Care Centre located in Eccles on the outskirts of Salford, Greater Manchester within easy reach of the M60 and wider motorway network.
There are 5 residential units which care for males under the age of 18 years, who are involved in the youth justice system.

Barton Moss is first and foremost a children’s home however in a secure environment. The Centre has a proven track record of offering a very high standard of physical and emotional care along with modern facilities. This supports young people to succeed in their personal and academic development and eventual resettlement in the community. The Centre has achieved Good & Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
Who we are seeking
A dynamic and experienced leader, who shares our values and who wants to make a difference.
We are looking for applicants who understand the challenges of working in a secure residential care setting and will strive to achieve the very best outcomes, alongside our multi agency colleagues for our young people.
You will need to have extensive experience of working with young people, who have complex needs and may present high risks. Along with significant experience as a leader, line manager who has experience of providing staff supervision and leading their professional development.
You will need to be highly motivated, with a strong social care background with the ability to effectively lead and inspire staff through the provision of strong, forward thinking and values bases leadership and management. You will have a high degree of inter-personal skills to work effectively across the Centre, wider organisations and with external partner agencies.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
