Chemotherapy experience desirable but not essential. Takes charge of the Day Unit as delegated by the Lead Chemotherapy Nurse for a specified period of time. Act as a Team Leader, delegating appropriate tasks and supervising the standard of care delivered by more junior qualified staff, unqualified staff and learner nurses in the team. Assist the Lead Chemotherapy Nurses in the management of preceptorship of newly qualified staff, return to nursing staff and the mentorship of nursing students and health care support workers.
