Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time
As the Senior Piping Engineer, you will:
* Perform layout studies (Brownfield and Greenfield), materials selection, valve and piping component specification, technical bid evaluations for valves and piping long lead items in an EPC environment or client role.
* Coordinate work tasks to the team (Designers/Engineers) to achieve required plan dates.
* Deliver estimates and CTR development, negotiate and resolve technical deviations/queries.
* Manage budgets, produce scope of work. Experience in managing budgets, setting project objectives. Creating and maintaining Piping MDR.
* Planning, progress reporting, and maintaining project plan, recognising changes from Client SoR/Project Scope of work (Change management) and highlighting impacts on cost/schedule and plan.
* Create and implement cost controls (including man-hour control).
* Manage, develop, and appraise the team/personnel, providing technical guidance and aiding the development of colleagues.

About You
You’ll have experience of:
* EPC, Brownfield, and Greenfield projects.
* Interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
* Offshore and onshore oil & gas business, but similar transferable industries skills will also be considered in lieu of specific O&G experience.
* Conceptual study/FEED design, detailed design, knowledge and understanding of construction, plant commissioning, operations, and plant maintenance would be preferable.
* Piping corrosion and erosion, material standards, material mechanical testing and NDE and material certification is essential for the role.
* Valve and piping components and relevant codes and standards (for manufacture and testing) is essential and to be demonstrable.
* Generating and checking calculations against design codes and best practice.
* Specific piping drawings requirements/presentation, working experience of 3D and 2D CAD software, knowledge of design application/CATS & SPEC.

Qualifications
* Degree qualified or HND/HNC in Engineering, Mechanical or Offshore preferable.
* Knowledge, understanding of UK statutory requirements such as pressure equipment regulation (PER), PED as safety case regulations would be essential for the role.
* Piping design code (ASME B31.3) is essential, knowledge of pipeline design code (like BSI PD8010) and wellhead (API 6A) would be preferable.
* Knowledge of Microsoft packages is essential.
* Having offshore BOSIET, MIST and medical are preferred for the role with experience of site surveys for condition assessments, commissioning assistance or dimensional and utility interface reviews, able to write survey scope of work and survey reports.
