We’re hiring for an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join an established engineering firm based in Heywood. In this role, you will play a crucial part in leading the electrical design and development of both standard and bespoke systems, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards. Designing and developing electrical schematics for standard and bespoke machine designs Taking ownership of electrical and software design requirements from concept through to delivery Creating wiring schematics and instrument schedules Producing Functional Design Specifications for new products Programming HMI and PLC software (Siemens TIA Portal preferred) Producing Bills of Materials and ensuring specifications meet procurement needs Supporting factory acceptance tests (FAT) and providing assistance to field engineers Collaborating with the sales and project teams to provide design input and technical expertise What do you need? Proven experience as an EC&I Engineer Strong experience producing detailed electrical schematics and design drawings Minimum HNC qualification (or equivalent experience) Hands-on experience managing projects from concept to completion Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal (highly desirable) If you're an experienced EC&I Engineer looking for an opportunity to take ownership of projects, contribute to innovative designs, and make a real impact in a growing industry, we want to hear from you.
