NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a full-time post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday. This is a fixed-term post for a duration of six months.
Specialist Children’s Services support teams within Community Paediatrics, CAMHS and Neurodevelopmental Services. This post currently supports the teams across SCS with a specific project regarding cataloguing and planning around paper records and in the first instance will be based at Gorbals Health and Care Centre but will be required to work across Glasgow areas. This post forms part of the business support team and provides a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the multi-disciplinary team as required.
We are looking for a candidate who has good communication skills and is keen to work within an established business support team. The post-holder will be required to carry out a specific project within 6 months and to work with colleagues to achieve this. You will need to be able to work independently when required but primarily be able to work well within a team. You may be asked to also contribute to the wider business support tasks. You will require to manage your time effectively and continually prioritise workload tasks where there may be interruptions to planned activity and conflicting demands on time. Positive interaction with patients and other members of the public is also a key part of this role.
