EC&i Technician Role -
The EC&I Technician is responsible for conducting routine and defect maintenance to ensure the plant and equipment operate reliably, maintain availability, and meet production output targets. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role requires adherence to stringent safety standards and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, contributing to smooth and safe operations.
EC&i Technician Key Responsibilities -
* Safety Compliance: Follow all safe working practices and procedures in line with the Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Management System.
* Maintenance Execution: Perform routine and non-routine maintenance in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
* On-Call Support: Provide out-of-hours support as needed to ensure plant availability and maximize station output.
* Troubleshooting: Investigate plant issues, identify causes, and implement effective solutions.
* Reporting: Prepare and present technical reports detailing maintenance activities and findings.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work and activities conducted.
* Condition Monitoring: Conduct continuous monitoring of plant conditions to anticipate and prevent issues.
* Resource Planning: Ensure effective planning and availability of competent resources for maintenance tasks.
* Supervision: Oversee other staff and contracted personnel as directed by the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager or Maintenance Team Leader.
* SHE System Adherence: Continuously adhere to SHE Management System requirements.
EC&I Technician Key Objectives -
* SHE Participation: Actively engage in the SHE Management System to uphold high standards in operations and maintenance.
* Technical Awareness: Maintain high technical awareness to proactively anticipate and mitigate issues.
* Communication & Problem-Solving: Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
* CMMS Implementation: Contribute to the implementation and improvement of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Tool & Equipment Compliance: Ensure correct use of tools and equipment, complying with LOLER & PUWER standards.
EC&i Technician Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
* Qualifications: BTEC Ordinary Certificate or equivalent.
* Apprenticeship: Completion of a recognized, time-served apprenticeship.
* System Proficiency: Competent in using Sertica and Rivo.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the power utility sector or a similar process industry.
* Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* £40,000 - £44,000 DOE
