The job holder will report to the Quality Documentation Controller and plays a key role in providing punctual and reliable documentation support for time critical projects being manufactured in the Hartlepool Mills. The job holder is seen as a key individual in the quality documentation department and will have a dynamic attitude to the tight deadlines they will be working too, with a keen eye to detail. This role is a key position providing information to both the customer and production teams ensuring all customer requirements are met. In Conjunction with the Quality Documentation Controller, responsibilities include: Preparing, maintaining and issuing Quality Documentation Status Registers and databases. This will involve direct contact with Liberty Steel Contracts Delivery Department and customer on-site representatives. Interpreting customer specifications and transposing them into LPH specific project control documentation to ensure the product is manufactured and tested to meet customer requirements. Gaining approval for project specific documentation such as Manufacturing Procedure Specifications (MPS), Quality Plans (QP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Test Cut Off Diagrams (TCOD) prior to manufacture. Preparing and issuing for approval Manufacturing Procedure Qualification (MPQ) Weld Procedure Qualification (PQR) and Weld Repair Procedure Qualification (WRPQ) reports post manufacture. Timely submission of Project Data Books to allow final invoicing. This will involve liaising with suppliers and other Liberty Pipes departments in order to collate documents such as certificates, calibration status, inspection reports, testing reports, etc. as the project progresses. Deputising, when required, for the Quality Documentation Controller. Requirements: The job holder shall be educated to HNC level or equivalent and preferably be an experienced ISO 9001 auditor. A good general working knowledge of production, inspection, non-destructive testing and mechanical testing processes within a pipe product portfolio (eg linepipe, process pipe, carrier pipe, pipe in pipe, structural tubulars etc) would also be advantageous. The job holder shall also have the capability to read, understand and interpret customer specifications and national / internal standards. An awareness of typical quality assurance documentation from a manufacturing environment would also be advantageous (e.g. Manufacturing Procedure Specification [MPS], Inspection & Test Plan [ITP] etc).
