Do you dream of a role where you can truly make a difference - where you’ll lead, inspire, and empower those around you while helping to create a more productive and sustainable world? If you’re passionate about people, safety, and innovation, and you’re ready to take the reins of leadership, we would love to hear from you!
What you will enjoy doing
* We’re looking for someone who can guide and nurture our teams at our St Helens, Runcorn, Ravenhead, and Trafford Park sites with care and purpose, as you’ll ensure our sites operate efficiently and safely - bringing out the best in both people and equipment.
* In this role, you’ll be the heart of our operations, taking ownership of the site’s performance and safety while measuring success against key business goals.
* You will champion safety & sustainability by inspiring high standards in Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) leadership, ensuring compliance with regulations and embedding best practices.
* You will empower a team by supporting and developing them to thrive, ensuring they’re equipped, empowered, and skilled to succeed.
* Collaborate with others, as you will build relationships and work closely with our remote operations centre, engineering and account management teams, as well as with third party providers to achieve shared goals.
What makes you great
* A degree in engineering but different routes including a good level of on-the-job experience in maintenance or operations counts, too.
* You are a problem solver, who is proactive and skilled at making thoughtful decisions under pressure, always prioritising safety alongside business needs.
* You are highly safety conscious and have a working knowledge of Health and Safety practices, including the control of major accident hazards.
* Self-Development is important to you, as you strive to learn new skills, push yourself, and help others develop alongside you.
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and empower a team.
* Furthermore, your technical knowledge includes experience with maintenance systems, engineering standards, and codes of practice.
* Plant management and/or operations experience would be an added bonus but not essential.
