Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a keen understanding of kitchen operations. As a Fryer, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various fried foods to meet our restaurant's high standards of quality and taste. Your role is crucial in ensuring that every meal served is delicious and safe for our customers.
Duties
* Prepare ingredients for frying, including washing, cutting, and marinating as needed.
* Operate frying equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality fried dishes.
* Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and proper meal preparation.
* Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
* Assist in the overall kitchen operations by collaborating with other cooks and kitchen staff.
* Help with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
* Ensure that all fried foods are presented attractively before serving to customers.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques related to frying.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills in food preparation.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.44-£15.37 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
