Job summary We are seeking an ambitious, conscientious, and adaptable individual to join our Pharmacy Team at Nevill Hall Hospital. The successful candidate will assist the Pharmacy Systems Manager and collaborate with team representatives at other sites to ensure optimal system management and standardisation across the health board. They will provide site based support to the Nevill Hall Pharmacy team for the procurement and distribution of medicines. Requirements: Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills. Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and maintain the Welsh Hospital Pharmacy Stock Management system (WHPSMS) and Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinets. Produce statistics and reports for service KPIs. Manage stockholding and re-order levels to reduce waste. Support system upgrades and modernisation projects. Train and support Pharmacy and ward staff on system usage. Assist in implementing and managing the EPMA system. Liaise with DHCW for system updates and changes. Support the development and implementation of pharmacy systems and strategies. Additional Duties: Perform system housekeeping tasks and user access management. Investigate medication incidents and report findings. Support the Robot Dispensing System and Pharmacy Temperature Control and Monitoring System. Assist in procurement, receipt, and delivery of medicines. Participate in the annual Pharmacy stock take and error investigations. Dispense medication and assist in ward-based patient services. Staff Management and Training: Train and supervise support staff and students. Conduct appraisals and development plans for staff. Ensure staff are trained in manual handling and use of mechanical equipment. Contribute to departmental audits and service improvements. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of pharmacy systems, ensuring optimal medication management and patient care.
