About the Job:
This position is to assist with daily care for an elderly lady to enable her to live in her own home, working in conjunction with her family.
Hours are 9 hours 15 minutes per week as follows:
Monday-Friday 45 minutes in the mornings to help with personal care. 2 additional hours per week for shower/bath which could be tagged on to one of the shifts. A further 30 mins each evening to help to get ready for bed x 7 days (ideally) but open for discussion to suit applicant/s. This could suit one person or if you can only do some of the hours, please state on your application.
Responsible to: You will be directly responsible to your employer, working in the family home.
Main Duties:
Personal care tasks –
Assisting citizen to get dressed in the morning or changed ready for bed in the evening.
Helping citizen to eat her meals.
Helping citizen with any medications required.
Assisting citizen to the toilet.
Helping with going up and down stairs / assisting with mobility.
Assisting citizen to wash daily and occasional showers/bath.
Person Specification:
Reliability is important.
Some experience in care work desirable.
Please note - this role involves a specific working pattern involving short shifts so the successful applicant will ideally live within easy travel distance of Llansannan.
