Our client is a leading original equipment manufacturer, and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Shipping Co-ordinator. The position is a 12-14 month contract, full-time 37.5 hours per week.
The Shipping Co-ordinator will be responsible for arranging all import and export shipping arrangements for machinery and spare parts at our client's distribution centre in Bristol.
The Role:
Reporting to the aftersales manager, the Shipping Co-ordinator will arrange the effective shipping of machinery and spare parts to customers all over the world. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
1. Scheduling timely dispatch/distribution of all orders and liaising with logistics providers, freight forwarders, parcel couriers, shipping companies, and the warehouse team.
2. Arranging Air, Sea, and land freight consignments into the EU and non-EU countries.
3. Producing Customs paperwork (Commercial invoices/EUR1 and ATR1 forms, etc.).
4. Coordinating air freight imports.
5. Ensuring all information is accurately updated on company ERP systems.
6. Liaising with customers and clients as appropriate.
Candidate:
The successful candidate will have previous international shipping experience, logistics/shipping administration experience, and will be familiar with all aspects associated with booking international shipping and transportation.
You will have an excellent understanding of customs import/export documentation requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Excellent all-round IT (including Excel and ERP systems) experience is required.
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours
