We are currently looking for a Director of Business Development & Partnerships to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving strategic collaborations and partnerships that are crucial to the company's growth. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Director of Business Development will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Identifying, establishing, negotiating, and maintaining partnerships while understanding the framework of existing collaborations. 2. Leading agreement negotiations ranging from drug discovery and development alliances to agreements with third parties that support research and development activities. 3. Managing alliances post-deal signing to ensure maximum benefit to the company. 4. Sourcing new external opportunities and leading mixed scientific and corporate development teams throughout the deal process, including technical and commercial due diligence. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application to this exciting role as Director of Business Development, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. Relevant degree in science or business related to pharmaceutical R&D, business development, or technology transfer. 2. Proven industry experience in business development within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with IP licensing, drafting, and negotiating various agreement types.
