There are vacancies across a number of our Dundee services which form part of our Dundee Contract. These include services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, and behaviour that can be challenging, including drug and alcohol misuse. Each service requires a specific skill set, and you will be allocated to the service that you are best suited to.
The Role
* Medication support such as administering medication
* Accessing community-based resources
* Support to manage finances and money
* Maintain personal health and hygiene including personal care
* Support with other issues that arise
* Emotional support and support with the recovery process
* Promotion of positive mental health including coping strategies
You Will Have
* A positive, flexible attitude, with an encouraging nature
* Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
* Be highly organised with the ability to work on your own initiative
* The ability to react efficiently and effectively in emergency situations
* Be open to attending and maintaining ongoing training needs
* Possess an SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or have the ability to work towards this qualification
* Flexibility with shift patterns; weekend work and sleepovers are a requirement of this post
* Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
