Your new company
Hays have been approached by a number of SEN schools in the Sefton area that we have worked with for a number of years, who are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants on a full-time basis. There has been a huge increase in demand, and we are now looking for individuals who hold Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications to work 5 days a week and provide consistent support for pupils who need the extra help.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils. This could either be working as a general classroom support or working on a 1:1 basis with pupils across KS1 and KS2. By being a teaching assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff. There is currently a high demand for teaching assistants in the Sefton area, so please get in touch if you would like to know more or discuss the roles available.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children. The school is also willing to consider individuals from various other roles working with young adults. For example, support worker roles. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role. However, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
