Waking Night Support Worker

Location – Lancaster
Position – Full Time
Teaching Personnel have an amazing opportunity to work with a residential school based in Lancaster. The school is looking for a driven and passionate waking night support worker.
Candidate will need to have:
* A ‘can do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
* We genuinely care about our young people (and each other) so honesty and empathy are a must.
* The resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations.
* The ability to build great relationships with the young people within your care.
* A full UK driving licence.
* If you do not have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), the school will pay for you to study and support you every step of the way.
Responsibilities:
* To liaise with senior staff on arrival for duty in order to be made aware of any ongoing/outstanding issues i.e. medical, behavioural, building, etc.
* To supervise young people during the hours of sleep.
* To perform routine cleaning tasks ensuring that the home is always well presented.
* To become fully conversant with the home’s philosophy and policies.
* To respect and maintain the confidential nature of the work.
