Job Purpose
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing sales of hydraulic hose assemblies and associated products within a specific geographic region. You will focus on building long-term relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth to meet company targets. Your role will involve working with both new and existing clients across various sectors, including construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and transport.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Business Development
1. Achieve and exceed sales targets for hydraulic hose assemblies and related products within the assigned area.
2. Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and networking within the hydraulic and fluid transfer sectors.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers to ensure long-term partnerships.
4. Work closely with the Branch and Mobile HoseExpress teams to provide tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
2. Account Management
1. Develop and manage a portfolio of key accounts in various sectors (e.g., construction, industrial, agriculture).
2. Maintain regular contact with customers through visits, calls, and email communication, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
3. Conduct regular account reviews to ensure customers are receiving optimal products and services.
3. Technical Support
1. Provide technical advice and support to customers, understanding their requirements and recommending appropriate hydraulic hose solutions.
2. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and technical developments to provide expert guidance.
4. Market and Competitor Analysis
1. Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats.
2. Gather customer insights to help shape the company's product offerings and market positioning.
5. Reporting and Administration
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities using company systems.
2. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
3. Collaborate with the UK Sales Manager to develop and implement sales strategies tailored to your area.
6. Collaboration with Internal Teams
1. Work closely with the technical, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth order processing, timely deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
2. Contribute to product development by providing feedback from the field on customer needs and industry trends.
