Highways Team Leader
We are seeking an experienced Highways Team Leader to join our team in Staffordshire, working from our Stone Depot.
In this role, you will play a key part in managing routine and reactive maintenance activities across our designated sections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering effective communication among stakeholders.
The standard hours of work are 40hrs across 5 days (0830-1630)
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high technical standards and oversee project briefings.
* Ensure team and public safety in compliance with health and safety legislation.
* Monitor resource utilisation and conduct cost-value analyses.
* Liaise with various stakeholders, manage records, and complete necessary paperwork.
* Coordinate day-to-day maintenance operations and manage resources efficiently.
* Develop and manage emergency standby and winter rotas.
* Organise road space bookings, order necessary materials, and conduct performance reviews.
Requirements:
* Driver's Licence (Class 2 HGV - desirable).
* People Management Experience.
* Good communication skills.
* Relevant certifications: Banksman Slinger, CAT Scanner (Highways), Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE), Environmental Awareness, Personal Highways Safety, Manual Handling.
