Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in the North Devon area in January, working primarily in small groups, booster sessions and on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis. The school’s approach to the curriculum supports a vision of preparing students for a productive, safe and happy adult life. The foundations of this approach are built through forming strong and trusting relationships with their pupils in order to meet individual needs to move past challenges and achieve their goals.
A knowledge of social, emotional and mental health, and of the autistic spectrum condition is paramount due to the range of needs that the school supports. Their holistic and diverse approach to the curriculum is designed to support the school ethos of respect, having compassion and aspirations, whilst gaining some other key social skills.

The school hours are 8:30-3:30, and successful applicants will be able to successfully support the school's educational ethos and contribute to the school's approach. This role is to start in the next academic year in September.
