They are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join their award-winning team as a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being.
Main duties of the job
As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being. Other responsibilities will include maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home, reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition, supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities, and establishing links with the local community to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

Other responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
2. Reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
3. Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
4. Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

Our ideal candidate must:
1. Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
2. Demonstrate understanding of the role interaction plays in the general well-being of people.
3. Have a positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
4. Have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.
5. Possess a driving license and have certain years of driving experience.
