To provide a specialist GI diagnostic service in centres across Lincolnshire for patients referred into the ULHT Gastroenterology Service. To begin with this role will focus on delivery of the Hydrogen Breath Testing service. Later, developing to deliver FibroScans and other GI physiology diagnostics. To explain to patients before the test, how they should prepared, arrange a timely booking, support them as the test progresses and outline to patients the next steps after the test. To update referring clinicians with the result of the test using standard criteria. Keep meticulous records of the results and share them with the appropriate clinicians To work with the functional bowel disease specialist nurses and primary care teams to make the test as accessible to patients as possible Run a timely and professional service for patients referred into the service. Attend a weekly multidisciplinary meeting to discuss all patients referred to and seen by the team.
