We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our client's manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, seeking out and winning commercial opportunities through tenders and managing key client relationships.

Description
1. Lead and manage the sales team towards achieving sales targets
2. Develop and implement strategic business development plans
3. Maintain and grow relationships with key clients
4. Understand the market trends and competitor activities in the industrial / manufacturing industry
5. Present reports on sales performance and forecasts to the management team
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure client satisfaction
7. Provide mentoring and coaching to the sales team
8. Participate in industry events and conferences
Profile
A successful Business Development Manager should have:
1. Proven sales management skills
2. Proven track record in successfully winning high-value long-term contracts via bids or tenders.
3. Strong knowledge of the marine, defence and/or engineering sector industry
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills
5. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
6. Proficiency in strategic business planning
7. Willingness to travel as required
Job Offer
Salary up to £65,000 per annum
Car allowance of £500 pcm
