Join our team as a QA Technician
Location: The Compleat Food Group, Lincoln Way, Clitheroe, Lancashire, BB7 1QD
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 14:00 – 22:00
Pay: £14.49 p/h
Reporting To: QA Manager
Are you passionate about food quality and safety? Do you have an eye for detail and a drive for excellence? We are looking for a QA Technician to join our dedicated team and help ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Your Role
As a QA Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Driving high-quality product and packaging standards
2. Conducting compliance checks on finished products, raw materials, and packaging
3. Performing gas, pH, weight, label, and sensory testing
4. Preparing samples for chemical and microbiological analysis
5. Assisting with corrective actions following non-conformances
6. Conducting allergen, CCP, and production compliance checks
7. Performing environmental swabbing, water testing, and temperature monitoring
8. Supporting production teams to ensure adherence to food safety and quality procedures
9. Attending and contributing to daily, weekly, and monthly meetings
What We’re Looking For
1. Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role within food manufacturing
2. Good understanding of BRC regulations, HACCP, and food safety legislation
3. Qualifications: Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene, Level 1/2 HACCP (preferred but not essential)
4. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and flexible attitude
