As a Key Account Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and growing key client relationships. You will act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards. Your goal will be to strengthen client trust, grow revenue, and ensure exceptional service delivery across all touch points.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for key accounts, fostering long-term relationships and trust with clients.
2. Quotations & Orders: Manage the entire quoting process, including chasing quotes, obtaining orders, and addressing rejections (while noting reasons for rejection).
3. Project Oversight: Track all work in progress (WIP) to ensure smooth delivery within KPIs and agreed deadlines, working closely with operations and other teams.
4. Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to up sell and expand the scope of services offered to clients, maximising revenue and growing the business.
5. Contract Management: Ensure all maintenance contracts are accurate on the system, including correct pricing and regimes, while monitoring renewal time lines.
6. Reports & Analysis: Provide regular reports on key metrics such as work volumes, SLA performance, profit margins, and "sick" equipment that needs further attention.
7. Client Meetings: Attend and arrange client performance meetings, discussing current and future needs and identifying new business opportunities.

8. Proven experience as a Key Account Manager, Client Relationship Manager, or in a similar role.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong, trust-based relationships.
10. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
11. Ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities to grow accounts and revenue.
12. Analytical and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to solving client issues.
13. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Protean) and proficiency in Excel or similar tools for reporting and tracking.
