With a strong emphasis on employee relations, in this role, you will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment where colleagues feel valued, supported, and engaged. Key responsibilities: Ensure all firm processes are compliant with employment regulations and that all colleagues are aware of firm policies and the behaviour framework. Support HR Team with the implementation of the HR Strategy. Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills. Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and termination. Support and coach line managers to deal with HR issues including performance and sickness absence. Provide advice and support to the HR Team. Support HR Team in monitoring and reviewing HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary. Maintain accurate employee records on the firm’s document management system and the HRIS. Support with the administration of payroll and benefit processes. Carry out HR induction sessions with new starters to cover policies, payroll, and benefits. Participate in the implementation of firm-wide projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the firm. Oversee the appraisal process and support managers with carrying out appraisal meetings. Act as a mediator in dealing with any internal conflict issues. Check and amend documents produced by the HR Team. Essential experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in a generalist HR role and managing a team. CIPD qualified to at least level 5. Experience of working in professional services. Person Specifications The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or colleague conflicts. Highly organised, able to prioritise, anticipate, plan ahead and problem solve. Adaptable, willing, and capable of working flexibly and as part of a team. Proactive in continuous professional development. Excellent communication skills. Proficient IT skills. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
