We're looking for someone with an excellent understanding of Redshift, Postgres, SQL, AWS and some JavaScript to maintain and build on our existing technology stack that ingests 20M IoT events every day and rapidly summarises billions of data points across our Analytics Dashboard, Email Reports and APIs. The infrastructure is already built for scale, so you’ll be in charge of learning how it works, ensuring its on-going performance and building new features on top of it. You’ll be working closely with our CTO and front-end developer to develop the back-end database and API hosted on AWS. You’ll also be consulting with our experienced team of technical and non-technical Account Managers and Support Engineers, as well as our CEO. We’ll problem solve together to develop a best-in-class service for our team and clients. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about developing their career in large scale data analytics and is excited to progress towards a Head of Engineering role. Aura Vision is a small startup with big customers. We ethically monitor how customers use physical retail stores across the world using our unique AI and in-store CCTV cameras. Billions of data points are processed and distilled down to useful information to help our retail clients increase sales and operational efficiency, while absolutely preserving anonymity of both staff and customers.
