We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Back of House (BOH) Manager to join our exciting new 150-seat restaurant and bar in Southwark. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a positive, fast-growing company with exciting expansion plans, including new sites, festivals, and events across London.
About the Role:
As our BOH Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing kitchen operations and supply chain management, ensuring smooth service, cost efficiency, and compliance with health and safety standards. You will work closely with our chefs, management team, and suppliers to maintain the highest operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier & Cost Management
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely deliveries.
2. Negotiate contracts and pricing to optimize costs while maintaining high standards.
3. Track and manage cost of sales data, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.
4. Chase and track credit notes to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
Operational Efficiency & Compliance
1. Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance, scheduling regular inspections and ensuring prompt repairs.
2. Maintain a comprehensive health & safety compliance logbook, conducting regular training and audits.
3. Implement inventory control measures, monitor stock levels, and minimize waste.
Collaboration & Reporting
1. Work closely with kitchen staff and management to streamline operations and menu planning.
2. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports on inventory, supplier performance, and cost control.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a Back of House Manager or similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, supplier negotiations, and cost control.
Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
