About the Role
The Postdoctoral Research Assistant will contribute to the intellectual life of the School/Institute. They will be involved in the MRC-funded Mental Health Platform Hub titled “Building recovery and resilience in severe mental illness (SMI): Leveraging the role of social determinants in illness trajectories and interventions.” The post-holder will provide support to the Chief Investigator Prof Jennifer Lau in the day-to-day running of the HUB, including organizing recruitment, conducting data collection and analysis, and disseminating the findings of the project.
About You
The candidate will be educated to PhD level or have equivalent experience. They will have experience and expertise in conducting mental health research, including data collection and analysis, and a publication record appropriate to their experience level. The candidate will have an interest in the practical application of research findings to the health context and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to a range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

The Youth Resilience Unit is a part of the Centre for Psychiatry & Mental Health at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. It focuses on academic discipline, research, the translation of research into public health strategies, and their practical implementation – all dedicated to the reduction of disease and disability.
