Job summary Colchester Urgent Treatment Centre is at the front of Colchester Hospital's ED and will see, treat and discharge or stream patients to the most suitable service dependant on their needs. The UTC is open from 7am until Midnight, 7 days a week. The UTC see, treat and discharge Minor Injury and Minor Illness presentations in line with the National UTC Principles and Standard. Being co-located with the Emergency Department, means the UTC practitioners will be required to assess a mix of acuity and be expected to ensure the patient is sent to the right place at the right time. We are looking for experienced nurse or allied health professional, with experience in working autonomously managing Injury and Illness presentations. You will ideally have experience working in an Emergency Department, Urgent Care setting and or Primary Care and have an understanding on the management of Adult and Children (from birth) injury and illness. You will ideally have undertaken your Assessment and Consultation, Minor Injury and Illness modules and also be a Non-Medical prescriber. You will also be able to autonomously see, treat and discharge Paediatric and Adult patients.
