Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Spool Installation Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and managing general engineering schedules, identifying and resolving technical challenges, and collaborating with stakeholders to define materials or services for engineering tasks.
This is a 12-month renewable contract role, working 3 days a week in the office and requiring flexibility to support offshore and on-site activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage general engineering schedules as per contract requirements.
* Identify and resolve technical challenges within contractual constraints.
* Create or supervise detailed task specifications and sub-tasks as needed.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define materials or services for engineering tasks.
* Approve technical designs for purchasing and construction aligned with client needs.
* Participate in technical design audits and client examinations, communicating cost and scheduling decisions as required.
* Conduct engineering verifications and calculations for project methodologies.
* Supervise the preparation of documentation describing implementation methodologies.
* Compile comprehensive manuals detailing methodology activities and highlight potential obstacles.
* Provide detailed data and documentation to offshore teams, ensuring seamless operations.
* Oversee on-site and offshore activities, including field engineering roles as required.
* Verify the adequacy of equipment and materials for project use.
Requirements:
This role requires proven experience in spool installation and tie-ins, strong technical problem-solving and decision-making abilities, familiarity with preparing schedules, technical specifications, and engineering calculations, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and flexibility to support offshore and on-site activities as needed. Diving experience is advantageous but not essential.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
