We are hiring a Legacy and Trust Advisor to join our friendly Fundraising Team! This role offers a great opportunity for someone with basic knowledge or a willingness to learn about the laws and regulations related to someone leaving a Gift in their Will, known as a ‘Legacy’. It is well-suited for individuals with Administration, PA/EA, or Legal Secretary experience, good presentation skills, and the confidence to take ownership of the role. While knowledge of supporting and implementing marketing activities is desirable, it is not essential.
Although the role can be fast paced, it is highly rewarding, and we prioritise your well-being by providing full support. Effective communication skills are crucial, including written, telephone, online, and face-to-face interactions in both one-on-one and group settings.
We are looking for someone with excellent relationship building skills who can quickly establish rapport with existing and potential legators and trusts.
Main Duties:
* Assist in implementing Legacy and Trust Strategies to generate income, including maintaining and increasing pledges and grants by building on past marketing successes and exploring new opportunities.
* Handle gift notifications efficiently and maintain relationships with all legacy stakeholders.
* Help improve accuracy in forecasting projected legacy income based on pledges and notifications.
* Collaborate with different teams to ensure legacy requests are integrated into the supporter journey for all types of supporters, donors, volunteers, and staff.
* Contribute to training outward-facing staff on incorporating legacy messaging into their activities.
* Stay updated on legislative and regulatory developments related to legacy fundraising.
* Provide regular and informative reports to your line manager on progress towards KPIs and overall income targets.
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer an attractive employment package, including seven weeks of annual leave (including bank holidays), which increases with length of service, and membership of a cashback health plan.
