Core Competency
Essential Criteria
* Expert knowledge in healthcare sustainability management principles, procedures, processes and legislation.
* Relevant sustainability/environmental/engineering degree or qualification and considerable experience working in a sustainability role within a large acute hospital.
* Experience of interpreting strategic information and managing the sustainability agenda to the relevant healthcare legislation.
* Evidence of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
* Experience in delivering a sustainability awareness campaign.
* Expert knowledge and skills on sustainability in a large acute Trust.
* Ability to lead on and carry out both quantitative and qualitative surveys, presenting findings in a concise and cogent manner.
* Ability to work across directorates, develop alliances and obtain ownership and commitment from stakeholders.
* Positive mindset in respect of supporting organisational change; learning, and continuous improvement.
* Experience in the generation and analysis of sustainability data and utilise this to influence and persuade.
Desirable Criteria
* Membership of The Institution of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

* Demonstrate specialist/expert knowledge of healthcare sustainability management principles, procedures, processes and legislation.
* Ability and experience working in a sustainability role within a large acute hospital. This will comprise of direct experience of managing sustainability, travel, energy & water and behaviour change activities.
