Working alongside the Distribution Site Lead as part of the Management team you will engage and motivate a skilled team of Team Managers, manage budgets and define and implement driver operations strategy. The role will work with the Warehouse and Distribution management teams on a daily basis, co-ordinating collections and deliveries of our products into our customers, as well as from third party and into our other depots and sites across the UK and resource is allocated in the right areas and monitor and investigate deliveries are made on time and in full, while maintaining customer service standards. With your previous experience, you will identify and drive a culture of continuous improvement, with your eye on the budget and be able to manage and maintain a fleet of vehicles in accordance with Company policy, health & safety and statutory and legal requirements. With almost 200 drivers and warehouse colleagues working on various shift patterns, it’s the biggest purpose-built distribution site for Warburtons, at 85,000 square feet. We are currently delivering over 4 million items to our customers and Cross Docking 85,000 stacks of bread, this is equivalent to 559 double deck trailers or 965 single deck trailers, every four weeks. And we’re still growing Banbury is now a dedicated Test Centre for License Acquisition, developing our own talented bunch of drivers and supporting them through their required driving licences.
