About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager - Power Burners (Europe) to develop our power burner business across Europe. This role involves managing the entire sales process-from initial customer contact through to order fulfilment-on projects ranging from small components to multi-million-pound contracts. You will work closely with our project execution team to ensure seamless project delivery.
We are looking for a flexible, conscientious, and hardworking individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role demands strong engineering expertise combined with commercial acumen to evolve enquiries into technical solutions and negotiate successful commercial contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching market trends and analysing industry developments to drive growth.
* Customer Relationship Management: Initiate contact with potential clients, building strong relationships, and converting prospects into qualified enquiries.
* Feasibility and Study Support: Assist customers with front-end feasibility studies and provide technical guidance to ensure project viability.
* Scope Development: Evaluate customer enquiries and develop clear, concise work scopes that address their technical and commercial needs.
* Site Visits & Surveys: Conduct on-site assessments to identify issues and provide practical, innovative solutions to customer challenges.
* Solution Development: Collaborate with internal engineering and design teams to create competitive and innovative solutions tailored to customer requirements.
* Costing & Budgeting: Secure supplier pricing and prepare accurate project budgets, accounting for materials, labour, and logistics.
* Internal & External Collaboration: Work with sales agents, project engineers, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth coordination across all project phases.
* Proposal Preparation: Draft detailed technical and commercial proposals, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with customer expectations.
* Client Follow-Up: Maintain open communication with customers, addressing any clarifications or concerns post-proposal submission.
* Presentations & Negotiations: Deliver compelling presentations to customers and lead commercial negotiations to close deals.
* Order Handover & Support: Ensure seamless project handover to the execution team and provide ongoing support throughout the implementation phase.
* Compliance: Adhere to Zeeco's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and quality standards throughout all project stages.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Technical Qualification: Holds a degree or certification in engineering or a related technical field.
* Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of the technical and commercial landscape.
* Sales Experience: Proven ability to sell projects in both the UK and Europe, with experience in navigating regional markets.
* Combustion Equipment Knowledge (Desirable): Experience with combustion equipment is an advantage, though not essential.
* Engineering Background: A solid foundation in mechanical or process engineering, ideally with practical site or commissioning experience.
* Adaptable & Team-Oriented: A flexible team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and can adapt to changing demands.
* Proactive & Self-Motivated: A self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Thrives Under Pressure: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of work.
* Problem Solver: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
* Excellent Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse audiences.
* Willing to Travel: Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally, with typical trips lasting 2-3 days (travel expenses and allowances provided).
* Tech-Savvy: Proficient in computer systems, with a strong grasp of relevant software and tools.
* Multilingual (Advantageous): Fluency in additional languages is a plus but not required.
