Planning Assistant
Grade 5 (£29,093 - £31,586)
The section is looking for an enthusiastic officer interested in pursuing a future career in planning. This role suits a person who can demonstrate some experience of the principles and processes of Development Management, but most importantly the motivation and desire to assist the team to support the Borough through the principles of sustainable development, by timely and quality decision making.
You will need to have the skills to manage your time to meet national and local planning performance indicators whilst providing an excellent service to the customer, which can be challenging and demanding, and to the third parties who may have an interest in a planning proposal, including Members of the Council.
A degree, or working towards a degree in Planning, or other related subject, is necessary.
In addition to the above candidates will:
1. Be an effective communicator, both written and orally.
2. Possess a current full driving licence.
