Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong technical background in engineering to join our client's leading fuel storage operation in the UK.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects within the petrochemical industry, ensuring safety, compliance, and innovation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Project Manager in the technical aspects of Sustaining (M&R) and Growth CAPEX project development and delivery.
* Manage projects assigned by the Project Manager, ensuring safe, on-time, and quality delivery.
* Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and process hazard analysis studies.
* Support the project manager in assembling cost estimates and schedules.
* Develop technical documentation, e.g., Basis of Designs and Scope of Works for RFP.
* Coordinate Subject Matter Expert reviews of technical documentation produced in-house and by design houses/consultants.
* Manage project technical queries and holds lists.
* Develop pre-commissioning and commissioning plans.
* Ensure all projects comply with UK safety and environmental regulations, planning regulations, and industry best practice.
Requirements
* A relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* External accreditation in a recognised project management methodology, such as PMP or Prince2.
* Experience working within project teams in process, chemical, or petrochemical industries, particularly on COMAH sites.
* Knowledge of and familiarity with CDM Regulations.
