Remuneration: £75,000 to £80,000 or £400 per day freelance

The role
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Practitioner to provide fractional support to Vision Survey. This role will focus on enhancing HR operations from an operational perspective, with an emphasis on improving employee retention strategies. The ideal candidate will be a resilient Senior HR leader who is commercially aware, influential, and able to drive impactful HR initiatives that align with our business objectives and values.
This role requires a hands-on approach, as well as the ability to bring people on the journey while overcoming resistance to change. You will also mentor a junior HR professional, supporting their development and ensuring HR best practices are embedded across the business.
The post holder can be based at either our Crawley or Staffordshire offices and travel between both will be required.
Key responsibilities
* Conduct a comprehensive review of current HR operations and identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and implement practical HR policies and procedures that support Vision Survey’s commercial goals.
* Partner with leadership teams to align people strategies with business objectives and drive efficiency.
* Act as a key change agent, engaging stakeholders and successfully managing resistance to new initiatives.
* Collaborate with the Group Talent team on the recruitment process, ensuring a structured, efficient, and cost-effective hiring strategy.
* Enhance employer branding and candidate experience to attract and retain top industry talent.
* Work with Group HR and Talent teams to build talent pipelines and workforce planning strategies that align with long-term business needs.
* Develop and roll out employee engagement initiatives that improve job satisfaction and retention.
* Establish career progression frameworks and succession planning strategies to support employee growth.
* Coach managers on effective leadership and people management to build a high-performance culture.
* Identify and implement training programmes to upskill employees and promote continuous learning.
* Create an HR mentoring programme, offering guidance and support to a junior HR professional.
* Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with UK employment law and industry regulations.
* Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.
* Oversee compensation, benefits, and EVP strategies to maintain market competitiveness.
Who we’re looking for
* Extensive HR experience in a senior advisory or leadership role.
* Proven ability to influence, engage, and drive change within a business.
* Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of how HR impacts business performance.
* Solid experience managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to engagement and retention.
* In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* A confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels.
* Willingness to travel regularly between Vision Survey’s sites in Crawley and the Midlands.
* CIPD qualification level 5 or 7, or proven senior HR Leadership experience
