Senior Membership Recruiter - Forestry England Location: Cannock Chase Forest (own transport required) Hourly rate: £13.50 per hour guaranteed weekly pay, Real living wage Hours: 20.5 - 32 hours per week (minimum 3 shifts week, Saturday & Sunday, plus one weekday) Role Duration: End of March - September Full extensive training given, excellent support Forestry England care and manage for over 1500 of our nations forests. With way marked trails for woodland walks, children’s play areas, Go Ape, orienteering trails and even a dog activity trail, you will not be stuck for something to do at Cannock Chase Forest. The purpose of the role is to increase the financial resources of Forestry England by recruiting new members either on a local or national membership scheme. Recruiters will work outdoors at one of our Forest bases, informing visitors about the benefits of membership and signing them up. The senior role will involve day to day management of the site, liaising with the onsite staff to insure integration of the membership recruiters’ program. Responsibilities include Inspiring people to become Forestry England members (local or national membership) Building a strong working relationship with the onsite staff, developing a detailed understanding of your forest and a knowledge of Forestry England a knowledge of other forests around the country. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of onsite membership including deciding where best to place themselves throughout the day depending on footfall, and advice from site staff. Also setting up the gazebo each day and dismantling Approach visitors to the forest with the confidence to initiate a conversation and build rapport Presenting information about in a clear way to the public Understanding and completing membership applications on a digital device and supporting other recruiters in doing this if required.
