Northern Education Trust is seeking a motivated and ambitious leader with a passion for educational excellence to become the senior director of maths for the trust’s secondary academies. What the role involves
* As senior director of maths you will play a crucial role in securing outstanding outcomes for children at the end of Key Stage 4 and 5. You will remain a practitioner and teach Y11 key students in at least one trust secondary close to your base.
* You will provide strategic and operational oversight of the delivery of maths across the trust, including adapting, amending or refining the maths curriculum from Key Stage 3 to 5.
* You will work systematically to implement NET’s tried and tested NORTHERN model of school improvement across all trust secondary academies.
* You will line manage a team of 8 supernumerary maths directors, coordinating their deployment to ensure the best possible outcomes for students and rapidly improving provision at all stages.
* You will coordinate the trust maths CPD offer for staff through the NET Staff College.
* You will represent the trust in national and regional sector events to contribute to the wider development of maths beyond the trust.
* You will deliver trust programmes of support for schools we are asked to work with as an external provider to fulfil the wider school improvement offer for our neighbours.
