Key Responsibilities: Clinical Support: Assist the surgeon with minor dermatology and surgical procedures. Prepare and set up clinic rooms, ensuring all necessary clinical stock, forms, and equipment are ready and functioning. Clean and maintain clinical equipment according to Infection Prevention and Control protocols. Serve as a chaperone for patient consultations and procedures. Meet and greet patients, developing a rapport and providing excellent customer service. Ensure patient satisfaction by administering surveys and ensuring pathology samples are correctly labeled and prepared for collection. Administrative Duties: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to NHS protocols. Handle appointment bookings and manage patient inquiries efficiently. Update patient records on the clinical system and process referrals in accordance with service protocols. Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff. Assist in training and inducting new team members. Contributions to Service Improvement: Apply service policies, procedures, and guidelines, and suggest improvements where necessary. Participate in audits and service development discussions. Use initiative and propose innovative ways of working. Health and Safety/Clinical Governance: Follow infection control protocols and ensure clinic rooms are clean and safe. Support patient and staff adherence to infection control measures, including hand hygiene and waste disposal. Be aware of health and safety procedures and report incidents or risks to the appropriate manager. Assist with the management of health and safety risks, including chemical hazards and infection risks. Personal Development: Participate in appraisals, training, and ongoing development programs.
