The Technical Coordination Engineer ensures the optimisation of the technical activities by providing support to all engineering teams based EDF EPR Engineering UK for the UK HPC EPR project.
They ensure a strong link between the configuration management activities performed at the project level and the building or discipline that they are working for.
Main activities:
1. The Technical Coordination activities cover the Design Change Management including piloting and coordinating the technical aspects of the Configuration (Design changes/Open points/Interfaces) between the different internal and external stakeholders ensuring a consistent and optimised design for the Project.
2. Coordination of cross-functional technical issues:
3. Ensures the resolution of various cross-functional technical issues by coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders.
4. Participates where necessary in coordination meetings organised by the various parties involved in the project (modification committee, project decision meeting, etc.)
5. Presents and shares progress, including KPI production, data analysis to support management and decision making.
6. Committees can be the Change Management Boards, Nuclear Island Architecture Meeting, amongst others.
Other activities:
1. Takes part in the management of experience feedback from previous projects.
2. Reports to the team manager on activity progress.
Profile
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
1. Engineer with several years of experience in one or several engineering disciplines which can include nuclear safety, electrical, mechanical, systems, civil, layout. Failing a wide engineering background, a great ability to learn is required.
2. Previous experience on the HPC project, including the use for the configuration management processes and tools.
3. Software and tools: Microsoft Word/Excel, 3D viewer, Change and open-point databases on the HPC project.
4. Key competencies: Interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, influencing skills, ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative, ability to multi-task, logical thinking, results focused with the ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
