DeVOL Kitchens Ltd designs and manufactures high-quality bespoke kitchens, which we deliver and install throughout the UK. We are seeking a friendly, professional individual to assist with both dispatch and delivery of our kitchens. This is a key front-line role where you will represent deVOL to our customers, so a passion for delivering excellent customer service is also essential. You will be responsible for delivering furniture to customers across the UK. When not on delivery, you’ll be working as part of the Dispatch team, wrapping and loading furniture and accessories, and occasionally moving items between our Leicestershire sites. The role involves a mix of workshop and driving duties. On driving days, you’ll need to start as early as 4:30 am. After completing your deliveries, you will be required to return to our Leicestershire site to move vans or collect them from the garage. On non-driving days, you’ll focus on vehicle checks and assisting in the workshop. It’s important to note that this is primarily a dispatch role with occasional driving, so you’ll spend a significant amount of time in the workshop. Our workshop working hours are between 8:30 am - 5 pm. Due to the nature of the role, your working hours could vary from week to week as part of an annualised hour contract. You will be guaranteed 2080 working hours per year. We would like you to have: A full UK, clean driving license. Must be 25 or over (due to insurance cover). Previous experience in a driving role. C1 on your driving license, 7.5 tonne lorry (Advantageous but not necessary). Good communication skills. Ability to work on your own initiative. Positive attitude. An eye for detail and problem solving. Flexible and adaptable. Good appreciation of health & safety. Previous manual handling and heavy lifting experience (advantageous). Experience and feel comfortable with city driving (essential). Part of the application process will include a license check and a security check to confirm your suitability for the role. We offer a competitive salary based on experience and during your first year you will receive training in the role and performance appraisals where your pay will be reviewed. After this, we offer annual pay reviews and continued support from the team.
