About the Role
As a Materials Testing Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials. You will work across various projects, conducting on-site and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out field and laboratory testing on construction materials
2. Ensure accurate data collection and reporting
3. Work closely with engineers and project managers to provide reliable test results
4. Maintain and calibrate testing equipment
5. Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards
Who We're Looking For
We welcome candidates at all levels, from Trainee to Senior Technician:
1. Trainee Level: No prior experience required – full training provided
2. Technician Level: Some experience in materials testing or a relevant industry preferred
3. Senior Level: Extensive experience in materials testing with leadership capabilities
Essential Skills & Attributes:
1. Interest in construction and materials science
2. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
4. A full UK driving licence (for site visits)
